29 November 2006 I guess I won't be riding my bike for a while. This is the surgical incision that has been stapled back together from where I had to have a plate put on my broken thigh bone. I'm much too young to have suffered this type of injury, and I guess I'm too old to be riding my mountain bike at the Denver Skatepark.

20 November 2006 These are bicycle brakes. This tiny pair of pads squeeze a 5 inch diameter metal rotor. There is a similar assembly on each bicycle wheel. It is amazing that these tiny pads slow me down as quickly as they do.

16 October 2006 Looking across the Platte River valley at the Denver skyline from the I-25 and Speer Boulevard interchange.

04 October 2006 The new 16th Street pedestrian and bicycle bridge over I-25 is nearing completion.

26 July 2006 L'Alpe d'Ward. A little Tour de France humor. This hill isn't very long. but 14% is a pretty steep grade. Ward Road, just north of 64th Avenue in Arvada, Colorado.

14 July 2006 Kenosha Pass. This is where we will start mountain biking a portion of the Colorado Trail this morning. Our destination is Georgia Pass, at 11,880 feet.
